Prof. Rajat Roy
Associate Professor of Marketing, Bond Business School (Bond University), Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia
Prof. Rajat Roy is a leading consumer behaviour scientist whose research examines consumer decision-making, with a growing focus on human-centred computing, including chatbot anthropomorphism, consumer experience design, and the metaverse. He has published extensively in leading FT50 and ABDC A*/A journals. He has presented and delivered invited talks across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Japan, Singapore, and India.
Prof. Roy serves the academic community as a Senior Associate Editor, Associate Editor, Guest Editor, and editorial board member for several international journals, while also reviewing competitive research grants for the Australian Research Council and the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong. His research has been recognised through Outstanding Reviewer and Best Paper awards, AACSB recognition, rankings among the world's top five researchers in Pay-What-You-Want pricing and top 60 advertising scholars, as well as significant industry and government research funding. He has also been nominated three times for Bond University's Vice Chancellor's Research Excellence Award and twice received the Dean's Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Research.
Prof. Roy is an experienced educator across Australia and Asia with expertise in marketing, curriculum design, innovative pedagogy, and AI in higher education. His academic leadership includes the GAP Research Pillar and Deputy Chair of the Strategic Review Board, among others. He has worked with organisations including Australian Communications Consumer Action Network, Mercedes-Benz, the United States Studies Centre, and the Koala Research Foundation, while contributing to Australian Government research commercialisation initiatives. Prof. Roy is also a distinguished Professor at Changshin University, South Korea and SIBM, Pune, India.
